Chaitanya (Cherry) Arora is a second-year Computing and Software Systems major at the University of Melbourne from Melbourne, Australia. Building on a strong STEM foundation, she has conducted scientific research in Water Chemistry, Human-Computer Interaction, and Mathematics, applying this knowledge to real-world challenges. Alongside her academic pursuits, she is passionate about Science Communication and making STEM more accessible to everyone. Through her YouTube channel, she simplifies complex scientific concepts and shares extracurricular opportunities like YYGS and Model UN with high school students.

Along with her extracurricular involvement, Cherry is passionate about scientific research, specifically in water related fields. Throughout 2021, she completed an extensive project exploring the impacts of nitrate on water along with its removal methods. This work culminated in a 30 page report which has been published as part of the Hydrology and Water Resources Symposium conference proceedings. Additionally, Cherry presented her research in a 20 minute oral presentation at the highly acclaimed national conference which was run by Engineers Australia, the peak engineering body in the nation.

Outside of academics, Cherry is an active baker and rower.
