Video Editing Paid Internship (Open to High-School Students) 

Short Contract, pay-per-video

 

LeadYouth is seeking a video editing intern to create short course videos. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both recording and editing using desktop software. Combine talking-head clips with photographs, recordings, music and animation to create engaging videos. See an example here.

 

This is a paid internship position open to High School students in all regions and time zones. Compensation will be $175 per video (with around 10 videos expected). This is a short-term position starting in July and ending August 20, 2024.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Record voice-over and basic talking-head videos based on provided scripts

  • Create and edit engaging course videos for middle-school students

  • Add motion graphics, music, and voiceover to videos

  • Organize and manage video and audio files

  • Export final videos according to platform requirements

  • Source and manage stock music and footage libraries

 

Required qualifications:

  • Must be able to speak and write English at an advanced level

  • Consistently meets deadlines

  • Able to take feedback and apply it to projects

  • Comfortable using video editing software

  • Able to work independently and remotely

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Expert in mixing motion graphics and real footage and enhancing backgrounds.

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Basic animation skills

  • Experience speaking on camera

  • At least 2 years of experience with video editing tools Premiere Pro and After Effect.

  • Desired 2 years experience in video rigging and animation.
